Reports confirm “conditions at Foxxconn are as bad or worse” than Mike Daisey described re: Apple worker abuse in China

Walters begins, where he should, by quoting Ira Glass’ retraction which affirmed the truth of Foxconn’s abuse of workers who manufacture Apple iPhones and iPads:  “…in fact-checking,” he continued, “our main concern was whether the things that Mike says about Apple and about its supplier, Foxconn, which makes this stuff, were true. That stuff is true. It’s been corroborated by independent investigations by other journalists and studies by advocacy groups. And much of it has been corroborated by Apple itself in its own audit reports.”
